A simple solution to deter birds from open water ponds, open-pit mines, airports and rainwater harvesting ponds. Waterfowl drawn to open water areas put themselves and people at risk. The floating layer of Water-Filled Bird Balls™ successfully camouflages the liquid and birds cannot recognize ponds. Bird Balls™ are 100 mm diameter UV stabilized black hollow plastic balls made from High Density Polyethylene. Each ball is filled with 200ml of water and permanently sealed so that it sinks to half its diameter when deployed. The balls float on the surface of a liquid and automatically arrange themselves into a tight pack to completely cover the liquid.
