WEHOLITE

EXPERIENCE AND EXPERTISE, PROVIDING UNLIMITED POSSIBILITIES

The technology of Weholite was developed already in 1983 and since then it has provided great value to the global pipe market. All solutions are 100 % customizable. With more than 30 years of experience and great engineering skills, we can provide unique pipe solution opportunities all around the world.

Weholite is a well proven durable system that is built to last for more than 100 years. It provides many benefits for the designer, contractor as well as the end-user. Whatever challenge you have, it is hard to imagine how a pipeline could be built easier and more economic.

The Weholite Polyethylene (PE) or Polypropylene (PP) pipe is a spirally wound structured-wall pipe, which makes it very light weight. The product is designed for non- or low pressure applications such as sewage, drainage, storm water, road culverts and retention tank systems in diameters currently available up to DN/ID 3500 mm.
We ensure you a system with best possible safety margins. You can trust that Weholite stands the most difficult handling, installation and ground conditions.

100% CUSTOMIZABLE

Thanks to the unique technology, Weholite can be designed for any kind of purposes. Pipes are available in diameters up to ID 3500 mm with ring stiffness classes ranging up to 8 kN/m². The pipe length is mainly depending on logistics, but usually the maximum is 30 meters. Most solutions are made for non-pressure applications, but also for low pressure applications with an internal pressure up to 2 bar. A great combination of pipes and panels enables us to build different prefabricated tailor-made products. Tanks, chambers and complete pumping stations are some examples.

DURABLE, WITH EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO CHEMICALS AND CORROSION

Weholite HDPE pipe will not corrode, tuberculate or support biological growth, making it the material of choice in wastewater and harsh chemical environments. It is inert to salt water and the chemicals likely to be present in sanitary sewage effluent. Like all HDPE pipe, Weholite has a smooth ID that maintains its flow capability over time. The low Manning’s roughness factor of 0.01 remains constant, even after years of use.

QUICK AND COST EFFICIENT INSTALLATION, UNIQUE OPPORTUNITIES FOR BALLASTING

Thanks to unlimited pipe lengths and prefabricated products we enable a very quick and efficient installation at the construction site. This is also shown by the several references, where our customers saved weeks of installation time by choosing a smart Weholite solution.
Weholite offers also unique opportunities for ballasting. Traditional plastic pipes with a solid wall construction are normally ballasted against buoyancy with external concrete weights. This is also possible with Weholite. However it is recommended to utilize the pipe wall construction: filling the profile space with concrete mortar. This method saves dredging costs, as the pipe wall ballasting procedure enables a narrower trench than external ballasting alternatives.

BEST POSSIBLE SAFETY MARGINS

Each Weholite pipe is tested to make sure it fulfils the agreed requirements. Herewith, we can ensure a system with the best possible safety margins. The pipe construction is flexible, which provides good safety margins also during installation. A 100 % tight solution will be ensured by welding the pipes together. You can rely on Weholite and be confident that it stands even the most difficult handling, installation, ground conditions and use.

LOW CARBON FOOTPRINT

Sustainability has always been a big focus within the development of Weholite. The modern technology provides an optimized solution for different purposes. Moreover, the material used is 100 % recyclable.

The transportation of light weight products has a lower impact on the environment. Also the efficient installation of a pipe with long length reduces heavily the carbon footprint. One of our customers, Skanska, calculated that they reduced the carbon dioxide with 10 tons by using Weholite instead of a concrete pipe solution for a storm water application, installed 2009 in the south of Sweden.
